Ford GT Supercar Applications Begin

The all-new Ford GT supercar is one of the most anticipated car launches, and starting today you can configure your own and apply to purchase one of the first 500 vehicles. At FordGT.com, customers can customize the Ford GT of their dreams and officially submit their applications to buy the ultimate Ford performance vehicle.

An all-new Ford GT Concierge Service will give approved applicants a unique customer-focused, personalized purchase experience. Ford is looking for potential Ford GT owners who will celebrate the Ford brand, as every GT customer will be a strong ambassador for the Ford Motor Company.

The online configurator lets anyone build a virtual Ford GT and share their personalized model with their friends and family using social media. Production vehicles have the choice between eight exterior colors, seven stripe colors and a number of wheel options and interior themes.

The Ford GT is the most advanced vehicle Ford has ever produced, and uses the latest weight-saving, aerodynamic and EcoBoost engine technology. The carbon fiber body is incredibly lightweight and was designed to minimize drag and maximize downforce in addition to having an iconic design.

Ford expects the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 to produce over 600 horsepower, thanks to its intercooled, twin-turbocharged setup. Adjustable suspension gives the Ford GT track-capable handling and the carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo provide stopping power to match its incredible performance.

Half a century after winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, the Ford GT is racing again in both IMSA and FIA World Endurance Championships. You can watch the new Ford GT race car compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 50 years after its first win on June 18 and 19.

Pricing for the Ford GT production car is expected to start in the mid-$400,000s, and production will be limited to 250 units per year. For more information about Ford Performance vehicles, visit us today at Five Star Ford of Plano.
