Ford Helps Renovate Dallas Fire Station for Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving this year, Ford Motor Company, Fox Sports, the Dallas Cowboys offensive line and actor Dennis Leary surprised the men and women of Dallas Fire Station 43 with a fire station makeover and a brand-new 2017 F-Series Super Duty pickup. Highlights of the renovation were broadcast during the Thanksgiving Pregame Show for the Cowboys vs. Redskins game.
The fire station was in need of a serious renovation after years of hard work, and Ford worked with local renovation experts to complete the renovation. Starting offensive linemen from the Dallas Cowboys came by to help with demolition and some final touches in the kitchen and dining area for the firefighters’ Thanksgiving Day meal.
Denis Leary, on behalf of the Leary Firefighters Foundation, was there to pledge a $50,000 donation for the purchase of much needed equipment for the northwest Dallas Fire Department.
“Today and every day, we’re grateful to the firefighters of Fire Station 43, and to firefighters across the country for their courage and bravery,” said Leary. “The Leary Firefighters Foundation is proud to team up with Ford to provide Dallas with much needed equipment, and to support the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe.”
Ford F-Series (F-150 and Super Duty) is the Official Truck of the National Football League, and Ford continues to be the leader in the emergency vehicle segment with a 58 percent market share. Men and women across the country rely on Ford vehicles every day to help them serve in a variety of severe-duty vocations.
