New and Updated Ford Trucks and SUVs Coming Soon
Ford announced its latest effort to have the freshest vehicle lineup among full-line automakers by the year 2020. This involves replacing more than 75 percent of its current lineup and adding four new trucks and SUVs. Ford will also continue to focus on its strengths in the truck, SUV and commercial segments.
A focus on hybrids will offer customers more performance, capability and improved fuel economy in multiple vehicle segments. Ford is also planning on equipping all of its vehicles with 4G LTE connectivity by the end of 2019, and is introducing the Ford Co-Pilot 360 driver-assist technology package which protects from all-sides of the vehicle.
Ford continues to lead the way in the truck segment with the new F-150 which was refreshed for 2018. This year the 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine will be available in the F-150, and an updated version of the F-150 Raptor will debut. Next year the Ranger returns to the midsize truck segment, and a new F-Series Super Duty will be announced.
In 2020 there will be a lineup of eight Ford SUVs, with five of those offering hybrid powertrains, and one offering a full-electric powertrain. All-new SUV models include the new Bronco and a yet-to-be-named small off-road utility.
