As you’ll see throughout this review, the Ford Super Duty models have two levels of towing capacity. For example, as a heavy-duty pickup, it has the best maximum available gas conventional towing rating or 21,000 pounds.
Meanwhile, the Ford Super Duty diesel conventional towing rating for this class reaches up to 24,200 pounds when properly equipped. It comes just a few thousand pounds under is the F-250, which has its own maximum towing rating of 20,000 pounds.

The F-250 for the 2022 model year features a diesel gooseneck and 5th-wheel towing rating of 22,800 pounds, and as for its gasoline variant, it offers a maximum available gooseneck and 5th-wheel towing rating of 19,500 pounds.
Much like the specs above, the Super Duty vehicles also include a 5th-wheel and gooseneck substructure attached to the frame. These are compatible with 5th-wheel and gooseneck hitch kits offered directly through the factory and Ford custom accessories, which you can access from home or by inquiring with your Ford dealer for more information.
2022 Ford Super Duty: Helpful Features>These next features are meant to help you on the jobsite and compliment the towing capacities discussed above. The first one is an available integrated electric winch that has a 70-foot high-tensile strength, abrasion-resistant synthetic line and 12,000 pounds of power. This integrated electric winch is mounted behind the front steel bumper to provide optimized airflow and clearance and includes a wireless remote control.
There are the available running boards that are offered in regular or extended lengths, too, which help assist in getting in and out of the cab. Also available is an optional power-deployable version that extends automatically when the door is opened and retracts when closed.
